M.com Distance Education
M.com Distance education is a field of education where the students pursuing the M.Com distance education course are not physically present on the site. This type of facility is made available only to encourage students who cannot afford to waste time in attending lectures in the university premises. These types of courses are available at graduation as well as post graduation level.
There are many institutes in India and abroad that offer distance learning M.com courses. Students who have pursued graduation in commerce branch are eligible for this course. Students who are appearing for final year exams of B.com (Hons) are also eligible for the course.
Various universities like Alagappa University, Annamalai University, Andhra University, Bangalore University, Bharathiar University, Dr.B.R. Ambedkar Open University, Indira Gandhi National Open University, Madurai Kamaraj University, and Vidyasagar University etc offer the courses. Mcom is completed in two parts .Economics, marketing, statistics are some of the subjects covered in first part and advanced financial techniques, project planning and management etc are covered in the next part
There are two types of techniques which are involved in imparting the education, Synchronous and asynchronous. Synchronous technique is the one in which all the students are present online at the same time. Various time tables are made to use the technique whereas in asynchronous technique all the students are not expected to be present at the same time. Facilities like email, cdrom, pocket pc etc are utilized. Testing material is sent to the student which they can read at their own leisure.
Students are required to complete the assignments and submit them back. It becomes fairly difficult to handle malpractices in this technique. Pursing M.Com through distance learning gives students a number of advantages. For students in India living in remote corners it becomes difficult to attend classes regularly.
The M.com Distance education courses also provide students the advantage to continue and finish their education along with their professional careers. Hence distance education has truly been a boon to students who believe in earn and learn ideology.

Distance education which is also referred as distance learning is one of the various fields of education that emphasizes on the technology and also the instructional systems whose sole aim is to impart education to students who are not capable of actually being present on the location.
The duration of bachelors course is one year and masters course is also completed in a years time.
